The Magic of Giving
May 12, 2008
The spirit of giving, is a wonderful experience. It is such a wonderful thing to see, people helping out other people in the time of need. We have seen a launch of great giving lately, such as the Oprah show. It is amassing how a single person can effect the lives of others when they set it in motion. From a family being burnt out of their home, a rally cry starts off and the next thing you know thousands of people pitch in and change their lives.
What really captured my interest was a little boy about 7 years old who gave away all of his birthday gifts! That turned into a fire storm of giving in that community. That was a great story, I am so proud of him and his parents. For a child to do such an amazing thing has to come from the values of his parents.
There are so many was to help out the people of the world today if we really wanted or had the time to get involved. It is a responsibility that we all have, and should all do our best to accomplish.
I saw a show where Mr. Simon Cowell our famous mean guy on the American Idol paid off a family’s home mortgage. That was an amassing feet in itself, but he was very humble about it. His statement was that he never knew how good it would make him feel doing something very nice for a complete stranger.
This is something that we all need to learn about, we don’t have to be famous or rich to do the right things in life. Sometimes its the small things that really touch people and change their whole life for the better.
It is very unfortunate that our governmental system can’t be everywhere all the time, that is just imposable. It has to be everyones responsibility, and I hope that I don’t offend anyone but it’s true. If we have any kindness in our souls, then if it has to be done we need to take care of it. We are the system and the solution, so I urge everyone to do their part however big or small. We can change peoples lives. I thank you for getting involved, the people thank you and you will thank yourself. Do some act of kindness everyday and watch how your life changes.
